A New Home- Let the Adventure Begin!

Have you ever had the thought of "Oh I would like to do___, Wouldn't it be fun if___" or "I wish that ___"? Have you ever follow through on those thoughts, big or small as they have have been? The reward and excitement that comes from doing something you want or dreamed about is none like any other. You can see and feel it in the small decisions, but as I've learned recently, the big decisions may be scary, but they are so worth it. This summer, I took a dive into one of those "what if" thoughts that had been brewing for years, and I am so happy I did! Come along with me, and let the adventure begin.

Many of you who have read the blogs, or who know me personally, know of my lifelong best friend Emily. We have been best friends for literally our entire lives, and every summer we joke about living together and going on adventures. Well, on one visit about a year ago, we said "you know how we always joke about this, what if we actually did it?" And thus started the adventure. We began to plan the move- where did we want to live, what did we want to be near, what did we want to do? Funnily enough- we knew we wanted to live in Florida for the ample opportunities and adventures, but were waiting for me to find a teaching job to know exactly where we would be. For my spring break with work, we came down to Cocoa Beach and stayed in an ocean front condo. During this vacation we had many thoughts of "wouldn't it be nice to live here?" Really enjoying the beach, the big cities not being too far away, the space coast to nerd out about, and many more things catching our eyes. Not to mention Disney and universal close by ;P

And you know what? We did it, we moved just outside of the Cocoa Beach area and are loving every minute of it!

I found a teaching job nearby, we found a home, and we've begun the adventures. I've done some small photography jobs for local rentals, which was tons of fun! As well as going to the most interactive and immersive zoo I have ever been to, watching the SpaceX all civilian crew launch, and tons of beach adventures. More posts will be coming soon about each of these adventures. But in the meantime, I wanted to share that with me moving on to a new adventure, that I will now be conducting the majority of my photography business down here in Florida. Now as many have asked, yes I will still travel back to Tennessee, Ohio, and Pennsylvania for photography jobs. But, travel time will be limited since I am a full time teacher as well as running my photography business. So please, even with the change in location, continue on here with me on the photography adventures and reach out if you want to connect for a photoshoot.

Change is sometimes hard and scary, and there are definitely things and people I miss about my time in Tennessee. But at the same time that is what's so exciting about following your heart and going for your dreams. It's still going to be an amazing adventure, and I hope you decide to follow along with me.
