A day spent among the flowers and gardens of the festival in Epcot

This trip was a day purely focused on photography! I had just finished up the school year, and began my summer break. So, I decided to take an entire day and focus on photographing the beauty of the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. In this festival, Epcot has set up beautiful flowers all over the space, with special arrangements themed to the country they "reside" in. But honestly, the place that I spent the most time in was the front entrance.

In this space, there are giant sections of flowers and planters covering the entire entrance space, right up to the Epcot ball. This wide space has also become the home of many butterflies and bees as they enjoy their spoils of the festival. Everywhere I looked there were butterflies and bees enjoying the flowers. I swear I stayed in this space for over an hour, just listening to the calming and inspiring music, and snapping away at photos. Of course when I got too hot or needed a break, I would head indoors for a break from the sun, but surprisingly I ended up not going on any rides. I amply enjoyed being amount the flowers and watching the bees and butterflies.

Epcot had even set up a butterfly house- where you could see butterflies escape from their chrysalis, and fly around the flowers. I spent quite a bit of time in here feeling like a little kid are the butterflies would flit about, and some even landed on me for a rest. Eventually I had to leave, and ended up spending several hours in the park. For my final touch before leaving the park, I simply sat and watched the butterflies again, this time with my own eyes instead of through the camera lens. I grabbed a box of popcorn, put the camera away, and sat on a bench. It was here I sat and simply watched, watched as people would come in excited, and leave content. Watched and listened to the sound of the buzzing bees, whistling breeze, and the soft entrance music. I snacked on my popcorn, and reflected on how blessed and lucky I am to be here.
