Sometimes you just have to grab a hot chocolate, a friend, and go out on the town to have some fun. Savannah is a college senior about to graduate from Lee University with a degree in nursing. We have known each other for many years, and when she reached out to me about getting some senior portraits done, I knew it was going to be a fun day.

We set out to downtown Chattanooga, on what was origonally going to be a nice, sunny day. However, we got a sudden cold front that came through, and boy did it get cold. When we met up before our photoshoot session at the coffee shop, my original plan for a fruit smoothie quickly changed to a hot chocolate. After catching up and spending some fun time together we drove down to the heart of Chattanooga for some fun photos in front of some buildings. We honestly had a nice little spot all to ourselves, and we certainly had some fun. Since it was so cold we were taking off and throwing back on jackets since Savannah wanted to show off her outfit, and we would catch ourselves giggling after our teeth started chattering. We would laugh and smile as the wind would come and go, giving Savannah her "Lorielle moment"

After a while we moved over to Coolidge park for some different scenery. At this point in time the wind really starting blowing those colder temperatures. But thankfully we had a nice cover under the bridge. Since we were covered from the wind Savannah really got a chance to have fun with everything. She began to naturally fall into poses that flattered her figure and showed off her personality, especially her sassy side. We would once again catch ourselves giggling and goofing off, not worried about the time or the weather as she would fall into pose after pose.

It was after this point we realized that the temperature was really starting to drop. So Savannah changed into a new outfit, grabbed her stethoscope, and went went to the river front to take some last photos. The wind was really trying to take her cap and gown flying, but we still had fun as she would show off her personality. One of my favorite photos from this part of the photoshoot was a nod to her passion for nursing. For this particular photo, Savannah heard up her stethoscope in the shape of a heart and you can catch her radiant smile in the background. This photo truly shows who Savannah is- a caring woman, who looks out for the betterment of other; but also has a wacky side that makes her an amazing friend and keeps people laughing.

We eventually had to call and end to all the fun before we became popsicles, as my fingers were starting to freeze to the camera. I was ready for another cup of hot chocolate as we drove home and it began to sleet. Thankfully the weather held off until our shoot was done, and when we woke up the next morning there was snow everywhere (which is when I did my drone footage shared in the previous blog post). We truly picked the last day before winter came back with a vengeance to take photos for a summer graduation. So even though the weather wasn't quite what we planned, we still had a fun time and I am so excited to celebrate Savannah as she takes her next steps into the nursing field.

Congratulations Savannah!

Until next time- stay safe, much love!
