Capturing Lightning for the first time!

Guys, I cannot believe I did this and just had to share! To understand why this is so crazy and big for me I've got to share a bit of background information.

Growing up, I had always been terrified of lighting and thunder. I couldn't sleep, would jump and scream when thunder rumbled and flashes filled my eyes. Over the years I got less scared and started to see the beauty and power of lighting, and once I got into photography I wanted to capture lighting. And last night, it happened!

I've been staying at my parents house during COVID, and last night the perfect storm popped up while I was washing dishes. This storm was right before sunset, leaving a little light, and was just far enough away that the rain was not yet on us. I captured some of these photos, and I am almost in disbelief that I captured these on my very first try to photograph lightning. I hope you enjoy these photos just as much as I do.

Stay safe, love you guys!
